Burying the end knot in a continuous subcutaneous suture pattern

I am asked how to bury a knot in a continuous subcutaneous pattern on a regular basis so I thought that maybe another short video would help illustrate the point.

Keeping the knots buried helps to pull them away from the dermis; helping to prevent incisional irritation that the patient is likely to start licking and rubbing at the incision.

Burying the knot is such a simple thing, it takes no extra time but can make a big difference to you patient.

Time to decrease the number of E. Collars worn by dogs by significantly reducing incisional irritation with properly buried knots!
