Bandages are frequently applied to patients and although “we all know” how to apply a bandage, we really don’t! A good bandage can make a big difference in the patient’s recovery, so let’s get it right!
In this webinar, Dr. Sylvestre will look at how to apply a bandage that will stay on (and stirrups are not the answer!); fulfill its function; and not cause damage to the patient. Specifically, we will look at the layers necessary and, most importantly, the order in which they must be applied. We will also look at a tried, tested, and true technique for applying the bandage, as well as how to get it to stay above the stifle/elbow without slipping down.
Dr. Brock will also join us in case you have questions about sedation for bandages.
