I love learning new suturing techniques and tying different patterns. I learnt this one quite a long time ago.
I do not use it often but if I have a reasonably lengthy incision on which I plan on not using skin sutures (think nasty cat or a patient that lives at quite a distance and is not likely to return to suture removal) then I will use this techniques.
It is secure, takes a bit of pre-planning but is easy to remember (a circle within a circle).
